As general contractors, we also work directly with clients as well as their architects to aid in the design process. Then we organize and schedule the variety of sub-contractors that may be required and oversee the project through to completion. "We hired Trey and his crew at Whimpy Wolf Builders to help construct and finish our cabin in the mountains above Lander, WY. We wanted to be sensitive to the environment and Trey was a huge help with that. He advised us on ways to lessen our impact. To start, we set our cabin back a bit so that it wouldn't jut out and negatively impact others' views when enjoying nearby national forest lands. We also used non-reflective, recycled roofing. Trey's crew installed an Envirolet composting toilet and also helped us figure out ways to utilize any water that drains from our kitchen or bathroom sinks. Whimpy Wolf also helped oversee the installation of solar power to our cabin. In addition to helping enable the environmentally-friendly steps, Whimpy Wolf provided many great "rustic" looks to help our cabin feel like a mountain retreat and to be an extension of its natural surroundings. These included an open/hanging shelf system in the kitchen, rusted, corrigated metal for some of the wall covering, a unique counter top application, an old rope around the base of the log walls, and other fine touches that add to the finished cabin's look and feel.
